Cupidity

Greed is the greatest affirmation of human desires. It is the pre-eminent primal desire. Over and above all other desires, it rises up and beats mercilessly the weakest opponent. Consciously, but often subconsciously, you are taken in by this. As victim you have discovered  too late, that you  have let yourself be seduced by this primal desire.
This primal desire has also been fought the most and fiercest of all desires. Almost all opinions concerning a just and fair way of life for people, have fought this desire without compassion. This desire is often used as a leitmotiv to persuasion. 'Rescuing’ then is of the utmost importance. Millions of people have sacrificed themselves by realizing this desire.
Some examples of greed are described from the three characteristics of life:

Physical cupidity. The primal animal life desire.
Unrestrained taking of food, drink, sex, cars, or money. Excessive food and drink will result in a  body misshapen out of proportion. Some find it  glamorous, but they frequently require exercising, treatments or an operation resulting in exorbitant costs associated with this. The large-scale desire towards wealth, has led to the financial crisis of today, and will have dire consequences to the world economy.

Combative cupidity. The animal live through desire.
Unrestrained  influence. The taking by force of many descendants, congeners, group-mates, compatriots, huge tracts of land, arises thoughts of possible survival.. To take possession of more property, yields power. As a result, the idea arises that you are in control of your own destiny, as well as of many others. The age old struggle of lovers to possess each other intensifies, to devour the divine: 'You look good enough to eat’.

Mental cupidity.The human soul desire.
Unrestrained imposing an opinion. Taking away the freedom of thoughts of others. Agreements concerning the rights of human lives or spiritual predestination assume solidarity, together forming a strong bond. Establishing a free independent order of a judgment and opinion will then not develop. That gives power concerning thoughts and opinions. The first and foremost opinion from people as an unique being on this sphere, they appropriate for themselves  the treasures of the whole world.  Moreover by a marginal part of its populace.

Cupidity although represented in only some instances makes it clear that it occurs all to often, in all four corners of the world, and all walks of life. Public awareness and reflection on its behavior are the most contemptible means of controlling greed. If greediness turns you into a victim, you were a 'willing victim'. Because of this, reform can take place, and again finding  a balanced decorum  can be implemented. Conduct in freedom controlled by responsibility, self-control and: enough is enough.
